Shoes Jorge Vazquez similar here and here
As you know last week was the Haute Couture 2016 fashion week in Paris and we shot this outfit right after the Sciaparelli fashion show at Place Vendome. The show was spectacular as usual and we didn’t expect anything less of course.
Luckily after a week of freezing and gray weather, this day was sunny warm and beautiful. It was the perfect day for fashion, friends and going out from place to place enjoying the energy of the city that fashion week brings with itself. And even though it was Couture Week and is not as crazy as during Ready to Wear Week, it is still as fun and as magical time. I could certainly say my favorite time of the year in Paris is during fashion week. The shows, the fashion, the parties, the mayhem all around the city….I love everything about it. And best of all I get to see some of my friends who come in town from around to world for it. Ah, why can’t it be fashion week all the time :)….and sunny of course ;).
For the occasion I had this fun blue faux fur Antik Batik coat, worn almost as a dress (I have a small black slip dress under just to make sure my bottom was well covered ;)) with a belt to give it some shape. The shoes are these sky-high but super comfortable platforms from a Spanish designer we have already mentioned here on the blog, and we absolutely love – Jorge Vazquez. We are so excited to see his new collection in February in Madrid. The bag is from a new line called Astraea Paris which we recently were introduced to and had the pleasure to meet with the founder behind the brand. She is so sweet but also extremely talented and we fell in love with her bags. They are made in Italy with amazing leathers, unique shapes and fun color combinations. Definitely on our list for upcoming brands to follow!
